Executive Leadership

Brian Stephens President & CEO

Responsibilities:

As CEO, Brian is responsible for project bidding, directing, and engaging T Com staff to plan and set goals to meet the needs of our customers.

Background:

Brian started his career in telecom with Bellsouth as a Facility Designer after graduating from Western Kentucky University. This path was influenced by the fact that his father has spent over 40 years in the industry. After eventually being promoted to Manager of Outside Plant Planning and Design with what had become AT&T, Brian was offered the Director of engineering position at a telephone cooperative in middle Tennessee. With a much larger role in a smaller company, the two years that followed allowed him to learn the technical and financial aspects of managing a telephone company. In 2010, T Com, LLC was formed by Brian and his wife Karen. The company started with one drop plow and has grown to what it is today through T Com’s constant commitment to integrity and quality work. Brian’s experience in the industry and reputation have allowed the steady and sustainable growth that T Com has realized and his mission for the company is to continue this growth while maintaining these same commitments.


Jeff Mclaughlin CFO

Responsibilities:

As CFO, Jeff is responsible for managing the financial well-being of T Com, including financial reporting, cash management, asset management and capital expenditures.

Background:

Jeff has over 30 years in financial leadership roles in the construction industry, including civil construction, electrical contracting, convenience store construction/remodeling and the railroad construction/maintenance industry. Prior to joining T Com, Jeff was CFO for a family-owned civil construction company in Brentwood, TN, specializing in subdivision infrastructure and development. He also was CFO with SOS Retail Services for 10 years doing store remodels nationwide for 7-Eleven, Walmart and Target. He was most recently CFO with AMS-Services/Railco Repair based in Memphis, TN. His financial experience ranges from startups, to established companies earning $100M in revenue per year.


William Nyswonger Regional Director of Construction

Responsibilities:

William oversees T Com’s construction and maintenance forces. He is very well versed in the various techniques and trades used to build and maintain fiber networks. His daily field coordination and management ensure production and quality goals are met and schedules are on time.

Background:

William joined T Com in March of 2014. He has several years of experience in directional boring, excavations and trench safety, first for the natural gas industry and then in telecommunications. William gained his knowledge by advancing through the ranks from laborer, operator, foreman and construction manager. This hands-on career path has proven very beneficial in his current role.


Cody Murphy Regional Director of Construction

Responsibilities:

As Regional Director of Construction, Cody brings strategic leadership and deep industry expertise to T Com. He oversees all phases of construction and operations across the region, from planning and permitting to execution and closeout. Known for building strong partnerships with customers, Cody consistently delivers scalable solutions and resources that support long-term growth for the company.

Background:

Cody started his career at Middle Tennessee Electric, working in the engineering department before transitioning over to the contractor's side. He spent several years working for a local telecom engineering company running their day-to-day operations. It was that work experience that really strengthened his expertise in the industry, before taking on a project management role at T Com. He now has over 12 years of experience in the telecom industry and has seen the industry evolve over time.
